ABN AMRO stood out from among other global multinational organisations as a perfect blend of regional ethnicity rooted in native host country values. This being an imperative in today’s fast-changing globalised world made it an attractive choice and one in keeping with my own ideals.

I've been through rotational stints in the various business units as well as had an overview of the backend processes driving the front-end functions. I personally place my experience at a premium compared to my peers at other banks and feel fortunate that I've been offered such a multi-faceted opportunity to explore the bank's workings.

I have been able to hone my people-relationship skills, while coming to terms with the various cultural differences that exist among the different businesses. This has been among the biggest challenges on the job.

The culture can best be summed up as unassuming and approachable. – possibly one of the very few Indian MNCs that live the 'flat' hierarchal model and the 'open door' policy that its business principles espouse. I'd recommend ABN AMRO highly as a place to learn and grow and have the flexibility to move across departments.
