On the programme so far, I've been on a rotation in Mergers & Acquisitions/Equity Capital Markets. There are lots of things to learn in this department. From origination to closing a deal, every process needs a sound knowledge of Corporate Finance. Apart from that, I'm involved in collecting data and using the Bloomberg system, which are very useful skills to develop. But the most important thing, from my point of view, is always having a learning attitude and being open to advice.

The most challenging thing in my work is to search through huge amounts of information, all in English. I help the analysts to collect data and information, and I prepare several slides for them. And occasionally, I'll do some translations. But through everyday English and self-study, I think I'm getting used to this.

My colleagues in ABN AMRO are all very supportive, nice and patient. They help me a lot and I'll keep learning from them. If you’re looking for a career in banking, joining ABN AMRO will be the wisest choice you have ever made.
