Services
Services is a global organisation of approximately 27,000 people operating in 55 countries and is responsible for the delivery of internal support services for ABN AMRO worldwide. Services' main areas are IT, Operations and Corporate Services (Global Procurement, Global Property and Facilities Management, Group Policies and Support).
The mission of Services is to create value through improved client satisfaction, increased efficiencies, sharper management of operational risk and increased agility of ABN AMRO's internal services organisation.
Services uses four techniques to achieve its objectives:
- Shared services: consolidation of strong expertise across the ABN AMRO organisation
- Best practices: re-use of proven effective methods
- Outsourcing: when external parties can deliver more effective and improved services
- Offshoring: when services can be done elsewhere with same or better quality at a better price
The Services organisation tries to run processes in such an efficient way, that resources become available to invest in the growth of the bank. Growth can mean new clients, new products, new branches or new distribution networks.
