Group Finance

Group Finance covers five directorates:

• Group Financial Reporting and Control (GFR&C)
• Group Finance Processing and Change (GFP&C)
• Group Finance Strategic Decision Support (GSDS)
• Group Asset & Liability Management (GALM)
• Group Tax Affairs (GTA)

We act as a business partner, engaging in strategic and tactical planning, and taking equal responsibility for the future success of the Bank. We do this through a number of roles:

• External and internal reporting and control covering 58 countries
• Monitoring the performance of ABN AMRO and the business units
• Policy-making, standard setting and supporting the business units
• 18 months' rolling forecasting
• Asset and liability management (group and local)
• Tax (group and local)
• Advisory role to the managing board
• Sarbanes-Oxley co-ordination
• Basel II co-ordination
• Group management consulting
• A communications role (together with Investor Relations and Group Communications) to keep ABN AMRO stakeholders informed.
