This group manages ABN AMRO's top relationships with banks, insurers, financial sponsors, public sector entities and supranational organisations. We originate business with clients across all products of the Bank, with a particular emphasis on Mergers and Acquisitions, Equity Capital Markets, Derivatives Capital Markets, securitisation and structured derivatives. We also cover merchant banking activities.

With a reputation for providing innovative solutions, we're a leading book runner of hybrid capital in Europe and Latin America.

Banks

In the Banks team we focus on handling ABN AMRO’s top relationships with banks. We’re responsible for originating business with clients across all of our products, with a particular emphasis on innovative structured financial solutions.

Financial Institutions Solutions Group

The client-led Financial Institutions Solutions Group focuses on generating and replicating industry leading market based solutions/products in close collaboration with their product and client partners, to generate significant revenues.

Hedge Fund Coverage Group

The Hedge Fund Coverage Group is an efficient, product credible client management team dedicated to optimising the Bank's extensive product-led strategies in this expanding marketplace. As the primary interface regarding Hedge Funds to Risk Management we operate a centralised model designed to segment and prioritise business strategies across product and geography, manage and allocate capital to optimise returns, and drive cross selling and replication. We aim to forge sustainable relationships with investors whose objectives are best served by our origination network and trading strategies.

FI Insurance and Pension Funds

The FI Insurance and Pension Funds team focuses on handling ABN AMRO's top relationships with the world’s major insurers and selected Pension Fund clients. This involves originating business with clients across all the Bank’s products, with a particular emphasis on selling innovative structured financial solutions.

Merchant Banking

The Merchant Banking group acts as a principal equity investor across the corporates and financial institutions sectors to generate attractive investment returns and drive significant ancillary revenues.

We exploit ABN AMRO’s network of proprietary relationships, in-depth industry knowledge and capital markets expertise to identify promising investment opportunities, develop innovative investment structures, and act as a value-adding partner throughout the life of each investment.

Public Sector

The Public Sector group works with national and local governments in selected countries to maximise the Bank's business in privatisations, public private partnerships ("PPP"), risk management, debt raising and restructuring and ALM issues in a capital efficient manner.
