Hints and tips
Our selection process has been designed to meet both your and our needs. It will bring out the best in you and give us the information we need to make an informed decision on your merits. You will need to prepare thoroughly to give yourself the best opportunity of success and can make an informed decision about any job offer we make.
Research
Find out as much as possible about our business and the roles you’re interested in before choosing a business area. This will ensure you make the right choice and will show us how serious you are about a career with us at your interview.
Your application
Presenting your character and experience as well as possible is vital in your application, as we’ll decide on whether to invite you to first interview based on this evidence.
Think about how you present your skills and achievements. When you consider recent examples, give us other people's opinions of your performance as well as your own views on your contribution. You’ll need to tell us about these on the application and again at interview, so make your answers as meaningful as possible.
The interview
If you're not used to interviews, your university careers service or placement office should be able to give you some useful practical experience and advice. Don't approach the interview with a preconception of what we want to see and hear. Once you’ve done your research, remember that the process should be enjoyable and informative (if it isn't, then you won't benefit from working here), so be yourself.
